Gas Grilles
Gas Grilles
Jun 8, 2005 -- Just a reminder as we head into the warmer weather and cookout season and residents may think about purchasing a gas grille. Gas grilles are NOT allowed on balconies or the roof deck.
In fact, state law [527 CMR section 6.07(5)(a)] prohibits the storage or use of LP-gas containers above the first floor of a building used for habitation. This regulation includes propane cylinders attached to portable cooking grilles.
Charcoal grilles and LP-gas grilles may be used outside at ground level provided the cooking grilles are at least ten(10) feet away from the building and other combustibles.
