Please keep in mind the following pipe prevention to do list during extreme cold spells when outside temperatures near zero or below:

•  Keep heat on in vacant units to 65 degrees.  This includes whether away for even one day.
• Allow faucets to drip.  This is especially important overnight and in 2nd bathrooms on end units.
• Keep doors shut to prevent cold entering building.
• Be aware that cold pockets exist in most buildings(usually part facing northwest).  In our building this includes units facing rear and side yard as well as top floor units.
