Elevator Update(01/22/2020)
Jan 22, 2020 -- Date: January 22, 2020
Subject: Elevator Repairs
The Hill at Furnace Brook Condominium Trust
MEMORANDUM
To: All Homeowners
From: Board of Trustees and Great North Property Management
Date: January 22, 2020
_________________________________________________________________________________
Dear Homeowners,
As many of you know, the elevator has been down for the last week. The current elevator is the original placed within the building at least 50 years ago. We have had our contractor on site reviewing the possibility of repairing the current elevator.
-
-
The Best-Case Scenario was that the problem was with some easily replaceable part/parts.
-
The Worst-Case Scenario was that the part that broke is a 50-year-old motor that burnt out, causing the transformer to burn out. This is what caused the smoke.
We are waiting on some proposals, but Unfortunately, the Elevator Will NOT Be in Service for at least 6 weeks. We apologize for the inconvenience this will be causing many of you. This process will take some time, but the Trustees want to make sure to improve the long-term reliability.
PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO YOUR TENANT IF YOU RENT OUT YOUR UNIT.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me, James Paul (781) 455-6565 ext. 9210 or e-mail me at james.paul@greatnorth.net.
Thank you again for your cooperation and patience.
Sincerely,
James Paul, Portfolio Manager,
as Agent for Great North Property Management
Board of Trustees, The Hill at Furnace Brook Condominium Trust
